Profile
Justin Mason graduated from California College of the Arts where he received a Masters in Architecture. While studying there, he was exposed to the interdisciplinary atmosphere the school prides itself on. He took several courses in Fashion Design and was able to weave his interests of clothing and space into a thesis that investigated one potential hybrid between apparel and architecture.
Justin has always been interested in the craft of making. Early in his "career," Justin was hard at work in his father's garage manipulating nails, wood, paint, and pennies on the workshop vice. While his brothers joke about his interest in fabrication, Justin's ingenuity traces back to the days of scrapping together miscellaneous household remnants to use as Christmas present decoration.
He takes this interest in craft into every project he works on. From furniture to clothing, Justin is fascinated by the act of translating an idea into physical material.
